Clippers rotation depends on Tribe #5

One of the most common questions I’ve received this winter is concerning the Clippers starting pitching. Who will be in the Columbus rotation?

The answer is fairly clear. The Indians will (barring injury) have Cliff Lee, Fausto Carmona, Carl Pavano, and Anthony Reyes. Also, Jake Westbrook hopes to return by mid-season. The #5 spot is up for grabs in spring training between Jeremy Sowers, Aaron Laffey, Zach Jackson, Scott Lewis, and David Huff. That means the other four should start the year as Clippers.

I’m sure plenty will change from April to September, but at least we can plan on, theoretically, a very good Triple-A rotation come Opening Day. I’ll give you an in-depth preview of those five pitchers this weekend.
