Hafner to rehab with Clippers
Indians slugger Travis Hafner is scheduled to join the Clippers for Friday’s final game of the series against Lehigh Valley.
Hafner was placed on the disabled list April 29th because of soreness and fatigue in the shoulder. Hafner visited Dr. James Andrews — who performed the surgery on the shoulder in October in Birmingham, Ala. — and reports indicate no structural damage was found.
There is no indication as to the length of Hafner’s rehab assignment although the maximum allowed is twenty days by MLB’s policy.
