Clippers add three in trade
The Indians trade of Cliff Lee and Ben Francisco has brought three players from Lehigh Valley to Columbus.
Pitcher Carlos Carrasco, catcher Lou Marson and infielder Jason Donald are expected to join the Clippers for Thursday night’s game.
Indians MLB.com beat writer Anthony Castrovince has a rundown on the newcomers here.
Carmona and Crowe to Cleveland
Mark Shapiro said during Wednesday’s press conference that Fausto Carmona and Trevor Crowe will join the Indians, replacing the Cliff Lee and Ben Francisco.
Carmona was slated to start Friday at Lehigh Valley, but instead will move back into the Indians rotation. He made five Clippers starts, posting a 1-3 record with a 3.55 ERA.
