Willis on Wednesday; Lewis slated for Thursday
Dontrelle Willis has been announced as Toledo’s starter for Wednesday against the Clippers.
Willis, 27, is 0-1 with a 3.55 ERA in two previous starts with the Mud Hens. He is 1-4 with a 7.49 ERA with Detroit this year.
Dontrelle Willis helped lead the Florida Marlins to the 2003 World Series title. He was named 2003 Rookie of the Year and a NL All Star in 2003 and 2005.
Former Ohio State standout Scott Lewis will pitch for the Clippers on Thursday.
Lewis, 25, made the Indians Opening Day roster, but pitched in only one game before suffering an elbow injury. He is 4-0 with a 2.63 ERA in four career Major League appearances.
Lewis’ 1.48 ERA in 2006 was the best in Minor League Baseball.
