Buster Olney – still “a loser”

This was passed to me by a Clippers front office staff member. It’s a neat story by ESPN’s Bustner Olney and his encounter with then Clippers outfielder Deion Sanders…

Still ‘a loser’

As spring training begins, we offer a story that has become an annual tradition for this blog, involving me and a superstar cornerback (and baseball player) …

Gwinnett Braves introduce Coolray Field

The Atlanta Braves Triple-A minor league team, the Gwinnett Braves, have signed a 16-year stadium naming rights deal with Coolray Heating and Cooling.  The ballpark will now be called Coolray Field.

“After our first full season of operation, the Gwinnett Braves continue to showcase our strong ties to the community and we are proud to partner with a great community-oriented company,” says Mike Plant, Atlanta Braves Executive Vice President of Business Operations.  “Coolray Field will continue to be a great place to bring family and friends and we welcome Coolray into our family”

As part of their naming rights agreement, Coolray will receive a sign at the main entrance to the ballpark, an LED marquee on Highway 20 and signage on top of the right field scoreboard.

The Clippers will visit Coolray Field for a four-game series starting Tuesday, May 18th. Gwinnett visits Columbus’ Huntington Park June 25-28.
