Can anyone explain the logic of having Donald sacrifice bunt with men at 1,2 no outs in the ninth? I understand that the chances of scoring the trying run increase if the bunt is successful. However, the success rate of the sacrifice is less than the gain in probability. In addition, if successful, the bat has been taken out Santana’s hands. What is the logic in this move?
