Leo: Reflecting on Opening Weekend at Huntington Park
The first weekend of baseball from the Arena District is in the books and, even though Mother Nature didn’t cooperate much, it was another successful beginning for the “Hometown Heroes”.
The Clippers took games from Toledo 10-4 and 6-2, improving to 4-1 against the Mud Hens. Last year the Clippers were 8-14 versus their Buckeye State rivals.
Jerad Head blasted two homers on Sunday. Head was the Triple-A National Championship Game MVP last season and continues to be one of the most underrated players in the Cleveland Indians minor league system. If you look closely, you can see Jerad rounding third base after one of his dingers…
